Dan Taylor, Sr., founded Dan Taylor & Associates in 1984, as an Event
Planner consultant company that specializes in Trade Show and Convention
security.
Mr. Taylor served 22 years on active duty in the United States Army. One
of his duty assignments was with the Military Intelligence Service. Mr.
Taylor worked on various sensitive Assignments and was cleared to handle
top-secret materials and documents.
In 1956, Dan Sr.’s father, Kennett Taylor, founded Taylor Security
Services which specialized in Tradeshow and Convention Security. Upon Dan
Sr.’s military retirement in 1969, he worked with Taylor Security Services.
In 1982, Dan Sr. established a security company of his own in Dallas, Texas.
In 1984, he changed the mission of the company from a security provider to a
consulting firm and established Dan Taylor & Associates.
Dan Taylor, Jr., joined the firm in 1994, representing three generations
of providing security arrangements for Trade Shows and Conventions. Dan Jr.
also performs work for the Department of Homeland Security thru its
Volunteer In Police Service (VIPS) program. He is also an Emergency Response
and Recovery member of The American Red Cross’ Disaster Action Team.
Dan Taylor & Associates have Agreements with various National and
International Professional Associations and Trade Show Management Companies
to develop a security plan using their requirements, priorities and goals
for their annual events at Convention Centers throughout the United States.
